Anyone who wants a half decent lawn through the heat of summer should be using a regular wetting agent cycle. Monthly cycles usually work well.
It helps your water get into the ground evenly, and helps the plant make the best use of the water it gets. And of course help to prevent dry patches.
I've been using this one this season and find it to be excellent.
A good plug for I know.

Have been getting lots of enquiries about Armyworm and Black Beetle damage in the past couple of weeks.
Now is the perfect time for these pests to strike and cause severe damage that can be difficult to repair before the cooler weather comes on.
If you are seeing irregular dry or bare patches in your lawn, this is a tell tale sign of insects.
Treat it immediately or as soon as you can, as Armyworm infestation can annihilate a lawn in a day or 2.
Bifenthrin works great..

Spring is here. Turf is breaking out from its winter dormancy and is back at it again, doing lawn Reno's to get your front or backyard looking great through the upcoming Aussie summer.
Kicked off the season today with a couple of dethatching jobs that were much needed. One of them at the hallowed cricket wickets of Carmichael Park at Bellbird. Home of the Great Bellbird Worker's Cricket Club. The other was a stale lawn on a steep sloping block, that was choked up with dead runners and quite thatchy.

Dethatching is not for everyone. Thatch is built up over time and general thatch can usually be effectively removed by a solid scalping during the spring.
If you have buffalo, more care needs to be taken as damage can be done and recovery can be slowed.
Also with buffalo, a percentage of people don't mow regularly enough, or at a manageable height. This can cause the turf to be super thick, and fool the owner into thinking dethatching is needed. When all that is needed is to lower the height and mow more frequently.

If you would like a lush green lawn, then get in touch and I can set you on the right path. I offer w**d and pest control, coring/aeration, scarify/dethatching, fertilizing, soil correction and guarantee results.
Hedge trimming with a touch of OCD is also available.

Please feel free to share.
Thanks,
Benny.

People with spongy buff. Read this. Most often it's not overly thatchy. You just need to seriously lower your mower!!
