We've got the 'hollow' feeling that not enough is being done to prevent the loss of much-needed homes so many species rely on – so, we're doing something about it!

Wildlife Queensland's annual appeal plans to protect these vital hollows, using cutting-edge environmental DNA (eDNA) technology to uncover the hidden world of species that depend on hollow-bearing trees.

👀 Reveal the unseen: Collect eDNA from tree hollows to identify and protect the incredible array of life they support, from tiny insects to birds and mammals.

🌲 Champion "hero trees": Safeguard the large hollow-bearing trees by advocating for their protection with local authorities and the Queensland Government.
