It's been a while since I last made a post. No excuses, I have been busy with the hand tools. The photo of the hex head screws shows you exactly how not so secure these timber steps were. The size of the hex head is far smaller than the size of the hole on the tread bracket that secures the actual timber step. In other words, a fall or collapse
was just waiting to happen. The other two photos show a more stable fixing of timber to steel bracket. I've used galvanised black bolts to give a more stylish look rather than the industrial look of galvanised grey.

Two new external doors and hardware to this storeroom / garden locker to this home.
The addition of some colourbond wall cladding to rodent , possum proof to the side wall, which was a void half way up the besser block wall. Notice the classic cream bullnose colourbond cladding. Challenging it was to cut the grey wall cladding to match the corrogations of the classic cream bullnose. Turn out to be a neat fit😄

A new timber sleeper retaining wall and steps to go with it, for this home. I built this wall utilising the old school water level. I don't have much of a need for the out door laser levels that are on the market these days. The old wall? Lets just say there wasn't much left of it. However there is plenty more work to be done on this site 😃

In reference to my last post. Here we have the final outcome of repainting this concrete ramp with a Dulux product. Super Grip. Tried and tested throughout cyclone Alfred. My customer loves it, the grip when and also the colour. As you can see in the zoomed in photo, the grit that gives the grip, and how evenly the grit is spread and mixed with the paint colour. The previous application of paint was seriously slippery when wet.
No more looks of fear when walking down this ramp😟
