Over the last few weeks we have spent a bit more time in the patch, harvesting, prepping the soil for Spring, composting and refreshing the worm farm.

We love being more reliant on the patch and taking care of our soil.

It's always gives us back much more than we give it.

Our beautiful Lulu seems to have found her seat to enjoy too.

How time flies !

When you forget how it all started, you come across a video of our early days in the patch.

So glad we kept going.

For sure, a tree doesn't produce from day 1, which then brings us back to the most important step - sow the seed.

This is a nudge to all of you, if you have a dream, a project, a goal - whatever it might be, don't put it off claiming it's too hard or too late.

Start now, one step at a time and keep going.

Keep walking.

This weekend we ended up harvesting our Sweet Potatoes!

One of them pretending to be a butternut pumpkin 😃.

We will allow these to cure for a few weeks to get the sugars to build.

We are looking at some delicious roast and baked dishes come September.

This beautiful Magpie Lark was enjoying a relaxing day until it was chased by the Myna.

So it moved from relaxed to panic and then decided to reset in a safe spot before heading out.

Lessons from the bird:

You don't need to participate in every battle.

It's ok to walk away and reset in a safe spot and move on.
