Golden, crispy spring rolls packed with juicy pork, succulent prawns, and fresh vegetables. Seasoned with soy, sesame, and aromatic spices, these homemade spring rolls deliver the perfect balance of crunch and flavour in every bite. Perfect as an appetiser, snack, or party favourite!
300g pork mince
200g prawns, peeled and roughly chopped
1 cup shredded carrot
3 spring onion greens, finely sliced
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp MSG
1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame sauce (or sesame oil if that’s what you have)
Spring roll wrappers
In a large bowl, combine the pork mince, chopped prawns, shredded carrots, spring onion greens, garlic powder, onion powder, MSG, salt, pepper, soy sauce, and sesame sauce. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined and the seasoning is distributed throughout the filling. Place 2–3 tablespoons of the mixture onto each spring roll wrapper, roll tightly, and seal the edges with a little water. Deep-fry in oil heated to 170–180°C for 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally, until the spring rolls are golden brown, crispy, and the pork and prawns are fully cooked. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with sweet chilli sauce or your favourite dipping sauce
Happy cooking !!
