Every time I start looking at new utes or weighing up different work vehicle options, I look back at this beast and think… why on earth did they stop making them? 😅

I bought this Colorado brand new, completely stock as they came, and it’s been with me through everything. From my apprenticeship days right through to building La Motta Group into what it is today.

It’s hauled tools, trailers, fencing materials and everything else I’ve thrown at it over the years, and it’s never missed a beat. There are a lot of memories tied up in this ute and I reckon that’s why it’s so hard to replace.

Surely I can’t be the only one who thinks the Colorado/Rodeo was one of the best work utes ever made?

Out with the old and in with the new! 👌

We removed this ageing brick and breeze block wall and replaced it with a beautiful Hamptons-style picket fence constructed from primed dressed timber. Not only has it completely transformed the street appeal of this property, but it has also added an extra layer of security while maintaining a welcoming and timeless look.

We’re not quite finished yet! We’ll be back in the next week or so to supply and install the automatic sliding gate, which will be the finishing touch to complete this stunning front fence transformation.

So far, it’s come up an absolute treat and we can’t wait to show you the finished result!
