One of the biggest factors in getting finance approved is your credit score. Think of it like a financial report card. Lenders use it to decide if they can trust you, to repay a loan. The higher the score, the better chance of an approval and usually the lower the rate. We consider ourselves to be the custodian, of your customer's, Credit Score.

Dan was the National Manager, Pre-Employment Assessment at Konekt for 8 years. We will hear about the importance of pre-employment assessments in small business, and some of the pitfalls of not pre-screening staff. In conjunction with the screening items previously presented by Chris Schutte, to ensure you find staff that are the right cultural and skill fit, it's also important to know that your new staff member is physically fit for duty!

Following on from last month's presentation, Jack will discuss the basics of business insurance along with tailored discussion around specific risks in our industry, understanding how policies are created, their inclusions, sub-limits and how this can affect claims.

All really important notes for understanding what cover you will have in the event you are making a claim.

A huge thank you to the lovely Rachael Zumaeta of BAAS Bookkeeping who gave us some super info on the importance of the basics in our businesses.

She discussed some new legislation around Superannuation payments, Director's Identification and particularly the requirement to pay yourself a wage as a director. Finally TPAR and whether it applies to those of us that pay contractors.
