Late last year, we received an urgent request from a customer following a storm with heavy winds. A tree had fallen in her yard, and with her property scheduled for an open home the next day, it was critical to address the situation promptly. To make matters more challenging, the individual responsible for mowing the lawn had failed to show up.

We were contacted at 11am and arrived on-site by noon. Our team immediately began work, carefully cutting up the fallen tree and loading the debris into our trailer. Afterward, we focused on clearing the remaining debris and mowing the lawn. While we worked into the evening, noise restrictions required us to pause. The following morning, we returned early to complete the mowing, ensuring the property was ready in time for the 9am open home.

Here’s a little project we took on for a client who wanted to quickly improve the aesthetic of his backyard before putting his property up for sale. When we arrived, we noticed contractors mulching fallen trees from the storm just across the road. We took the opportunity to engage them, and they kindly agreed to load up our trailer with some mulch free of charge.This was a low budget project, but the transformation was amazing. We were happy we lucked upon an opportunity to reduce the cost to our client even further.

We don’t always take on the glamorous jobs. The landlord of this property couldn’t find any other businesses willing to take on this project because of the dangers involved. Snakes, sharp metal objects, rocks, bricks, and steep slopes with little room for footholds are only some of the dangers we came across. Luckily for our client, Alex grew up in Papua New Guinea and has lots of experience traversing through dense jungles. With the right PPE, we managed to clear out the bush around the fence line of the property. This will be an ongoing project for FMF Services with lots more bush to be cleared out.
