That’s a wrap, folks! And by “wrap”, we mean a beautifully botanically hand-dyed silk wrap from setta, obvs...

Thank you so much for everyone who showed up for today’s market. From the stallholders who worked furiously in the lead-up until they resembled animal from the muppets, to our wonderful visitors who showed up with so many smiles and so much support, and even that fluffy white dog that mysteriously took up residence on our counter for a time, we felt all your energy and it felt great. Thank you to my team for their work to support the market: Tenny, Shelley, Mim and Deb - it is so appreciated! Thank you also to monaverdour and her band for your music - you always make a great day even better. I want to add another thank you to my new neighbours for their support of the market, including use of carparks (and with apologies for unauthorised parking!).

I really don’t know though, do you think we should do it again? Vote with a show of hands in the comments below or with your mouse by submitting an application through our website if you’d like a spot at our spring or Christmas market.

The votes are finally in… please join me in congratulating Julia Bramich J U L I A • B R A M I C H • C E R A M I C S who has won the People’s Choice prize in the Plant Empire Small Wonders Exhibition! Julia’s ambitious ceramic sculpture, The Bearer, captured many hearts and minds during the exhibition - thank you to everyone who visited and voted. This beautiful artwork has now sold, but you will find more of Julia’s treasures on her stall at our winter market this Sunday:

Last night was absolutely magical 💫. Thank you .kleinig and for sharing your beautiful music with us, thank you for producing the concert, and thank you everyone who attended. Hilary is now making her way to Sydney for the final stop on her tour where she’ll be performing with percussionist Claire Edwardes - be sure to give all your friends in Sydney the top tip that this is one not to be missed.

Back at Tennyson HQ, we hear your hunger for more music and are working hard to get more on the menu. Next on the program is the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra for their performance “Bohemian Dreams” on Friday 21 August - visit arco.org.au for tickets (link in bio). If you’re interested in performing at Plant Empire for a future concert, hit up and consider a bribe involving peppermint aero kit kats.
