🚚 DELIVERY DRIVER / INSTALLATION TEAM MEMBER

KOALA KOAST Industries is looking for a reliable person to join our Delivery & Installation Team based in Bundamba.

This role involves delivering cabinetry to building sites, assisting with installations, loading and unloading products, and supporting our site teams across South East Queensland.

Typical hours are:
πŸ•• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:30pm
πŸ•• Friday: 6:00am – 12:00pm

Experience in cabinetry, construction, deliveries, installations, or manufacturing is an advantage, but not essential.

We are willing to train the right person.

We're looking for someone who:

βœ” Reliable and punctual
βœ” Takes pride in their work
βœ” Physically fit and capable of manual handling
βœ” Positive attitude and willing to learn
βœ” Comfortable working both in a team and independently
βœ” Looking for long-term employment

Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:

β€’ Cabinet making
β€’ Construction or trade assistant work
β€’ Deliveries and logistics
β€’ Forklift licence
β€’ MR or HR truck licence
β€’ Installation experience
β€’ Hand and power tools

KKI is a well-established business that has been supplying quality cabinetry to builders in the greater Brisbane area since the early 2000's.
With years of experience in Kitchens, Butlers, Bathroom and Laundry fit outs, we achieve exceptional outcomes every day for many renowned builders who also take pride in delivering quality homes, to a budget and on time.

The Role
You will be joining the company at a time when we are experiencing exceptional growth and therefore encouraged to provide ideas and input with growth decisions such as production improvement processes and current and future capital equipment purchases. You will be reporting directly to the General Manager and expected to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the factory and onsite installations. This is an existing role that requires fresh blood and new ideas and a position that includes a good mix of management and hands-on routine.

Key Responsibilities:

β€’ Running all the machines and staff operations
β€’ Supervision of cabinetry builds
β€’ Quality control
β€’ Managing orders, customer relation and builders
β€’ Job scheduling and coordination
β€’ Managing any repairs, maintenance of machines
β€’ Managing installers and allocating jobs
β€’ Keeping track of KPI'S and updating them via internal computer systems (Microsoft Office)
β€’ Maintain and Promote existing team culture and constant improvement
β€’ Updating drawings via Cabmaster (similar to CAD)
β€’ Organising and overseeing deliveries
β€’ Despatch and forklift operations as required

Key Requirements:

β€’ Previous experience managing a small team in a cabinetry environment
β€’ Trade Qualified Cabinetmaker with industry experience
β€’ Experience operating machinery (CNC’s and Edge banders)
β€’ Excellent Project Management experience and ability to work on multiple projects
β€’ Strong communication skills both written and verbal
β€’ Good leaderships skills and ability to lead and guide small teams
β€’ A commitment to safety and safe work practices
β€’ Ability to lead by example and adapt quickly
β€’ Team player
β€’ Any High-Risk tickets including Forklift will be highly regarded
