Looking back at one of our earlier projects — Tallahassee Boardwalk — a residential landscape designed to bring that relaxed, resort-style feel to everyday living.

Set across both podium and natural ground levels, the challenge came in creating smooth, seamless transitions in materials and space. We designed and detailed all softscape and hardscape elements, with a strong focus on tropical, resort-inspired planting that emanates lush, green, and immersive.

This is still one of those projects that reminds us how much power we have as LA's to curate spaces and impact a sites character and future success.

“Helps kids have fun!”

When you ask a bunch of lower primary aged kids what does a Landscape Architect do? and this is their response - you know you're working with some switched on kids!

We have been working with Ascot State School to develop a masterplan for their campus and the brief is for everyone to have a say. So last week we spent a day working with students of all ages and their teachers to imagine spaces where they belong, feel safe and connected. And ACTIVE of course! Now is our job to channel their great ideas and enthusiasm into a living report to support the school's ongoing evolution. This is why we love our job - designing places for people 🌿

Getting experimental over at St Augustine's new science building and learning landscape! This small space comes feature packed with tools to assist the teachers in undertaking classes within the landscape. The creative installations include:

- Cell shaped seating with chalkboard painted top for demonstrations
- Educational graphics on the balustrades depicting our evolutionary journey
- Varied plant choice that showcases species with exaggerated biological features such as crotons and hibiscus
- Real space X Y and Z axis rulers
- Varied surface treatments to assist in the demonstration of friction
- And of course good old fashioned shaded seating

FRED St on tour! Checking out the K-town tavern as a celebration for the official opening of our City of Moreton Bay office! This is a big move for us because we miss our Northside crew, but it's really important to have life balance. When you have to travel a long way to work, you miss out on hours that could be better spent on your own interests - keeping you happy, healthy and sane.

It also makes us make the most of when we are all in the main studio together, whether that is training, workshopping or eating pastries.

(And just a gratuitous plant shot to make you feel good)

Ahoy! Awesome result from Beaudesert State School's Prep outdoor learning area. Nicknamed "Shipwreck Beach", Travis aimed to pack as much of a punch in a small area as possible.

Heaps of character and function were hidden away in this tight corner space, boasting a raised sandpit, dry creek bed, themed seating, a mud kitchen and a mix of riparian and tropical planting. We cant wait to see the students get stuck in!
