The true test of high-end architecture is how the market responds to it. With Dohori House, our goal was to introduce a refined Brazilian subtropical aesthetic to Ascot, anchoring the site with cast-in-situ concrete and raw timber.
Last week, that design philosophy was validated with a record $6.9M sale. It is incredibly rewarding to see our architectural vision translate into a highly sought-after, tangible market asset.
A fantastic outcome for our visionary clients, and great to see the property officially change hands after a strong campaign by

Timeless grandeur in Pullenvale. 🌿

The true mark of a successful new build on an established estate is designing a home that feels as though it has always belonged there. By anchoring the lower level in heavy, textured stone and designing classic, wrap-around verandas, we’ve created a new legacy that respects its historic, leafy context.

Small footprint. Massive transformation. ✨
An early glimpse into a boutique gatehouse concept currently on the drafting table in New Farm.
At GKA, we approach small-scale interventions with the same rigorous design philosophy as our luxury homes. The arrival experience sets the tone—it shouldn’t be an afterthought. By introducing sweeping, organic forms and rich, tactile materials, we’re designing a moment of pause and prestige that completely renews this established building’s street presence.
Small scale, significant impact. More to come as this sketch evolves. 🖊️

Coming soon to Brisbane’s East: Barton Parade. 🌴
A masterclass in curves and materiality. We are currently moving through the schematic design phase for this luxury residence, balancing heavy masonry with light, sculptural concrete forms.
This is how we redefine the modern family home.

Nothing beats seeing your vision in print. 🗞️ Incredibly proud to see Dohori House grace the pages of today’s Financial Review Domain Prestige lift-out.
For this Ascot heritage project, we leaned into a Brazilian subtropical feel—designing architecture that breathes. We contrasted the pre-war frontage with a bold, rear extension using raw concrete, timber, and large openings to the landscape.
Currently on the market with and the team at . An exciting milestone for the studio!

The ultimate daily retreat. 🌿
Step inside the master ensuite of the Freshwater Residence. Designed as a sanctuary that embraces the Queensland climate, this space entirely blurs the line between a high-end interior and the natural world.
We contrasted the raw permanence of the off-form concrete ceiling with the warmth of vertical timber and the textural elegance of travertine. The open-air concept, framed by lush trailing greenery and expansive sliding glass, allows you to bathe in the elements while maintaining complete privacy.
This is how we redefine suburban luxury.

Inside the Freshwater Residence.
For this Forest Lake project, the goal was to dissolve the boundary between the interior and the landscape. We achieved this through a continuous material palette—bringing the raw permanence of off-form concrete inside and warming it with rhythmic, curved timber battening.
Notice how the ceiling extends outward, creating deep, planted canopies that filter the harsh Queensland sun while allowing natural light to pour into the heart of the home. The transition across the threshold is seamless, stepping out onto terracotta herringbone brickwork that grounds the space.
Architecture is about creating an atmosphere, and this living space is designed to breathe.

Redefining the suburban sanctuary.
Introducing the Freshwater Circuit Residence, our latest architectural design in Forest Lake, Brisbane. This home is an exploration of contrast—balancing the raw, monumental permanence of off-form concrete with the organic warmth of curved vertical timber.
Designed specifically for the Queensland climate, the architecture acts as a protective shell that seamlessly opens up to nature. Carefully curated Japanese-inspired rock gardens and deep, planted overhangs ground the home, while expansive sliding glazing dissolves the boundary between the interior living spaces and the landscape.
The master ensuite is a masterclass in elemental luxury—featuring a freestanding stone bath, travertine walls, and an open-sky concept that allows you to bathe in the elements while maintaining absolute privacy.
This is Brisbane living, elevated.
