Beautiful Bamboo in a vase shape but tight for screening, Green leaves with white culms makes for a hedge with a difference. Can vase out to 3m at the top, but if you love that wind brushing threw leaves sound then this is the bamboo for you.
When you cut away the older lower growing culms in its 2nd year you will showcase the culms. When they shot they come out almost white, against the greener culms behind it truly gives a beautiful tranquil feel.

Black culms with green leaves, it's a slower grower and can take upto 5 years to be fully grown (4 in most warmer climates). Needs to be planted between Spring threw to mid January and have a chance to establish its self before Winter hits or it won't make it threw its first winter, it will have no issues and be as tough as the other varieties after its first winter. The culms start out green turn black later, the culms are slow to produce, instead you may not see new culms produce within the first 12 months after planting, but when they do shoot, they will grow extremely quickly fro day to day.
