It’s been quite some time between posts.

We hit the ground running in 2020 and one week has rolled into the next. Cannot believe it’s nearing the end of the first quarter.

I’ve attached some pics from various jobs we’ve done so far and we’re currently doing 2.5 kilometres of cattle fencing in Newham at the base of Hanging Rock, but it’s no picnic let me tell you.

We’re done!!!!!! 3rd and final job for this week and 2019.

6am start, 50mts of 120cm Equine Mesh, 6 end assemblies and an 8ft gate with a top sighter wire. Five and a half hours and home for lunch to beat the heat.

What a year we’ve had. A total of 64 fences built, not bad for a husband and wife team.

We’d like to thank all our clients through 2019 for choosing MRAS as their preferred contractor.

May you all have a great Xmas and a safe and prosperous new year.

We look forward to 2020 with another big year ahead already being booked out till late April so if your planning to get some fencing done please ensure you let me know sooner then later.

This weeks 2nd job all done. We spent Wed and today in Romsey building a day yard for some very lucky horses.
We used 125mm super round posts as line posts with nice big 200mm corner posts. We then run two 125mm x 38mm hardwood rails at approx 125cm high and capped of the base to retain a flooring with 150mm x 50mm Eco wood sleepers. A 4ft pedestrian gate was hung along with a 14ft entry gate to allow access with a horse float.
We’ve now bumped in to New Gisborne for Fridays job to build a 50mt fence before we knock off for Xmas. We’ll be up at the crack of dawn to bang it out and try and beat the heat with a scheduled 42 degrees upon us.

1st job for this week run and done. A 200mt boundary fence in Riddells Creek with pine posts and 7/90/30 Sheep mesh. Now we’re off to Romsey to build a day yard for some horses and then back in New Gisborne for a 50mt dash to see out the week. Might have to slip, slop and slap for the next few days 😩☀️

Part of this week was spent in Woodend building a 150cm high paddock for two naughty goats. We built this one with Waratah JIO posts and Waratah 45 degree extensions wrapped with 13/115/15 Feral mesh and three plain wires above. Some custom gates were then installed to tie it all together. We were happy with the results as were the clients but the goats, not so much. 1 week till Santa comes and three more fences to build so a busy week ahead.

Since leaving Gisborne Sth we’ve had numerous single day to two day jobs installing gates in existing fences and driving posts for people wanting to wire them themselves, so nothing worthy of sharing. However last week we were in Woodend installing a three rail Post and Rail fence for a lovely couple wanting to ensure their two young kids cannot access a dam that is close to the house. We pulled down an old existing fence and reinstated it with a new fresh look. Equine mesh was fitted to the inset of the fence so it could be removed later in life when the kids are older allowing the timber to remain and open up the yard. Now we’re up the road building a paddock to contain two cheeky jumping pet goats.
