You'd almost mistake these before and after photos for different floors (all after photos are after the 2nd coat)
All the gaps were cleaned and respaced, then filled with flexiseal to allow the natural movement of the floor and make cleaning a breeze
Coated with Aqua Gold 2k in matt
And there's a few board replacements in there that you'll never find 😉

Lounge had a fire at some point in its 100+yr life which the owners wanted to keep as a bit of a talking point and to add some character to this old home

With an old old old pine floor like this that has more peaks and valleys than the Victorian high country, a gentle approach must be taken..Actually I lie, the boards still had 27mm of solid timber left even after having been sanded multiple times by other people. I went hell for leather. Then cleaned and evened all the gaps, followed by as much sikaflex as I could manage to seal everything up. Then a few beautiful coats of polycure 2k waterbase in matt.......
Looks like a bought one now
