Neat ensuite in progress. 6 x 6 tiles with 2 feature walls, green marble fingers and 1200 x 600 fluted panels going up to 2. 7 mtrs. Topped off with brass hardware and trims👌 look forward to seeing this finished.

Customer had a leaking shower that was holding water underneath the tiles, and eventually made its way through wall cavity into the hall way. The biggest culprit for these failures that I see time and again is shower bases tiled with no puddle fl**ge or an incorrectly installed one , along with tile adhesive that is trowled too thick and disbonded over time while traping water underneath. Look for warning signs of unseen damage before it becomes a major issue, such as missing, degraded grout surface and peeling or shrunken silicone control joints. These are the mine canary that signals more damage to come.

Easy Friday. Cleaned and caulked this bathroom in Alexandra, then headed up to Ancona and chucked a subway splashback on the wall👍 rural area tiling , I do a few kms but don't get sick of cruising the countryside. Its about as good as it gets if you gotta work for a living.

Waterproofing done, setout and tiled today. I have formed the screed so I can lay these 300x300 pattern tiles without the need for diagonal splitting while keeping to the standard requiring 80.1 fall in wet area.
Will return later this week to finish walls and shower niche.👍

Even if it gets covered with caulking or carpet, i still take pride in my work and enjoy the challenge of tiling .
