With over 15 years in the industry, we bring deep expertise and a unique perspective on design, education, and building. Co-led by Founder Melissa Bonney and Director Cat Gerke, The Designory blends over 35 years of combined experience in design and marketing.

Our evolution from a boutique studio to a multi-channel brand has been driven by a mission to share knowledge, create impact, and build authentic brand value. The business spans three core divisions:

As designers, we live for samples.

Fabric swatches, flooring boards, stone pieces, paint cards, hardware finishes—there’s something magical about seeing and feeling materials together in real life. No matter how good digital images are, nothing replaces the experience of laying everything out and watching a scheme come to life.

Samples are a vital part of our design process. They help us test colours in different light, compare textures, balance tones, and make confident decisions before anything is ordered or installed.

It’s often the difference between a space that looks good and a space that feels beautifully considered.

Behind every cohesive interior is a table covered in samples, countless combinations, and a designer obsessing over the smallest details. And honestly? We wouldn’t have it any other way.

We couldn’t stop staring at that gorgeous pendant light… especially since our beloved Enoki Cumulus pendant is no longer available. So naturally, we went on a hunt for it—and we found the source.

How gorgeous is this suspended fireplace we spotted at ?

It’s pretty hard to compete with a statement like that… but this Australian stone certainly gives it a run for its money. Meet Inaminka — rich, earthy, beautifully textural and full of natural movement. The kind of stone that instantly grounds a space and makes everything around it feel considered.
