Lots happening at the Nursery at the moment. Our new growing space is huge and taking shape nicely. The first plants will be potted and put into part of that area today.

We have more plants ready to go to Orpheus Island (Lucky buggers 🤣)

Our staff are busy at both Nursery sites are busy potting to keep the supply of plants going, as well as preparing orders and maintaining existing stock.

Plants pics this Friday:
*Calathea Silver Plate - Shade loving colourful foliage producing light pink flowers through the warmer months.
*Pandorea Dark Pink - Flowering climber for full sun to part shade.
*Native Violets - Part sun to shade loving (loads of flowers at the moment)
*Fiji fan palms - Beautiful large leaves, great feature palm, no spikes on the leaves.

Monday - Fridays 7.30am - 4pm, and Saturdays 9am - 4pm.

Did you know we do alot of our own propagation by cuttings and some seed? Other plants are raised from small tubestock or bought seedlings, others are divided and split. Alot of our plants start their journey to your garden as little babies.

Has your Friday started off a bit foggy? (Ours too 🤣)

Maybe you need some fresh air and bit of time in the garden.

If so, we have got you covered, with a huge selection of plants to bring colour, life and fill those tired looking spots in the garden.

Our friendly staff are here to help if you are not sure about plant selection. Maybe take a photo of the garden before coming in, to assist with a plant choice.

Did you know we can deliver plants to your door?

Delivering anywhere in between Newell Beach in the North or down south to Gordonvale. Tablelands customers can have delivery if it is a large order however we don't travel up there often to do small deliveries. (Please contact us)

We charge a small fee that varies depending on the location. For our Port Douglas customers for example, we send plants between our Kewarra (Main Nursery site) and Mowbray (Growing site) every couple of days. We can deliver into Port Douglas for a flat fee of $25 (1 plant or a trailer load) or if you prefer you can pick up the plants from our Mowbray site for no fee at all.

Simply come into our Kewarra Nursery, speak to one of our staff, we will select the plants with you to be delivered. In most cases we collect deliveries through the early part of the week and deliver them towards the end of the week.

Branches Nursery is a Production Nursery -Open to the Public, in Kewarra 25 minutes North of Cairns.

Bougainvillea's are back in flower looking good this week. (Starting from $22)

We have a some really nice Macarthur palms in 300mm pots around 1.8m tall and bushy $49.50 each.

Also pictured today:
-Shadehouse with Calathea Silver Plate in the middle of the photo.
-Our Trailer being loaded for deliveries.

*We charge a small fee for delivery that varies depending on the distance away from the Nursery, usually accumulating orders early in the week for delivery towards the end of each week.

For our Port Douglas or Customers further north, we can either deliver to your door, or you can pick up from our Mowbray growing site by arrangement.

Branches Nursery has been in operation for over 30 years. The Nursery has changed layout or shape a few times over the years. We are currently redeveloping an old back area that had partially been unused after cyclone Jasper flooding, damaging irrigation, plants and w**d matting, filling the area up with sediment.

This will be a large space (see image), we will use to increase growing capacity for the supply of plants to the public area and to grow stock for many of the projects we supply large numbers of plants too.

We are "Open to the Public" selling a wide range of plants.

Our regular Opening hours are:
Monday - Fridays 7.30am - 4pm, and Saturdays 9am - 4pm.
