It is with great pleasure that I would like to announce, Morgan’s Master Painters is changing hands! 👏

The business has been acquired by my long-time employee Youi, who has helped shape our painting projects for the past several years.

I am confident in his ability, to continue providing our customers with top quality service and exceptional workmanship, and officially hand over the reigns this coming Monday 28th April.

I will be staying on with the business for a time, to help with the transition, and can’t wait to see what the future holds for this business 🙌

To everyone who has supported myself and Morgan’s Master Painters over the past 7years, my sincerest thank you, it’s been a wonderful journey! 🌅

A few before and after photos of a recent interior repaint completed by the Morgan’s Master Painters team. Using Haymes Expressions and Haymes Ultra Trim, the New wall and trim colour is Dulux Lexicon Half 🙌

20 yrs ago, Suede feature walls were all the rage. Today they are somewhat dated, and therefore we have been asked to remove this feature, and paint the wall in with the rest of the house.
This house is getting an entire interior repaint, with a new colour scheme, and the brown suede wall isn’t part of the modern look.

We first start by covering the beds, benches and cupboards with clear visqueen and masking plastic to protect from dust. We don’t sheet the floors until After the prep is finished, that way we can vaccume and mop to remove all the dust.

Then with an orbital sander, a dust mask and some elbow grease, we sand smooth the texture (suede) effect.

We will then undercoat the wall and paint it in with the rest of the house, using Haymes Expressions ultra premium interior low sheen. 🙌

A few progress shots of a large deck extension. Unfortunately due to the rain, we have been unable to paint the vertical posts yet, which will be going in Haymes Ultratrim satin water based enamel in black.

We did manage to work around the risk with the ceiling and eves, undercoating the horizontal beams using NorGlass all surface epoxy primer, then painting them in to match the ceiling (at the owners request) in Haymes Solarshield low sheen.

Is coming along beautiful, once we have completed the posts, the tiler will then tile berything ready for some weekends by the pool! 🏊‍♂️ 💧

After a big couple weeks, here are some final pictures of the end result. 🧐

Undercoated bare patches, then cut/rolled one coat of Haymes (course) roll on render. Undercoated all bare render using Haymes Tricoat 3in1 sealer undercoat. We then applied two coats interior acrylic (Matt) paint, tinted to colour dulux ‘Baltic Sand’. Finally, we applied two coats of intergrain ultra deck timber stain in Merbau, to all new skirting boards. 🙌

Haymes Rendertex ‘Roll on texture’ 1/3

Today we began using some Haymes Rendertex - Coarse roll on texture (using a medium spaghetti roller sleeve). First undercoating the new gyprock with Haymes Tri-coat 3in1 sealer, then apply one coat of roll on texture.

What an amazing product and such a beautiful uniform finish now, covering the old mismatched render and patchwork throughout the house. Now giving a uniformed finish.

Next step is to prime and paint 🙌

(Edit: This is a water based product, and a respirator is not really necessary. I just choose to wear a mask 😷 as the house is closed up with the aircon running to help drying times, and the product smells a little stronger then regular house interior acrylic paint).
