Smart Doors and Gates Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable Garage Door Installer to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Caloundra West, Queensland. As a Garage Door Installer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of garage doors systems for our valued clients. This role is essential to delivering exceptional service and maintaining our reputation as a trusted provider in the building trades industry. You will work on-site at client locations, ensuring all installations meet safety standards and customer expectations.
Key responsibilities
•Install garage doors and motor systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards
•Perform maintenance and repairs on existing garage door systems.
•Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components of garage door openers and automated systems
•Ensure all work is completed safely, on time and to the highest quality standards
•Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs and service calls
•Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide professional advice
•Adhere to all health and safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
•Transport tools and materials to job sites and maintain company vehicles in good working order
What we're looking for
•Proven experience as a garage door installer or similar role in the building trades industry
•Strong knowledge of garage door systems, including springs, tracks, panels and automatic openers
•Proficiency with hand and power tools commonly used in installation and repair work
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation manuals
•Physical fitness and capability to lift heavy materials and work at heights safely
•Valid driver's licence.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
•Strong communication and customer service skills
