This week hit our industry hard.We lost a good man. Another is fighting for his life. Both taken down doing what we do every day – concrete pumping.
To most people, we’re just a machine on a job site. But we know better. We know the danger that hangs over us every time we climb that deck, every time we unfold that boom. We work under pressure, around chaos, and with gear that can turn deadly in a split second.
This isn’t just about one accident. It’s about every one of us who straps on the boots and takes on the risk to get the job done. We’re a brotherhood, and when one of us falls, it shakes us all.
Let’s use this as a wake-up call.
Slow down. Speak up. Look out for each other. No pour is worth a life.
And to the builders and concretors – hear us loud.
Stop cutting corners. Stop racing the clock at the cost of safety. Push the rates up so companies can afford proper training, safer gear, and pay that reflects the risks we face in this dangerous game.
Lives are worth more than deadlines.
If you want quality work and safe sites, invest in the people who make it happen.
RIP Paulo – gone but not forgotten.
Hoping Aymen makes a speedy and full recovery.
We’re all behind you, brother.
