But when they're unsolicited, and they come from one of our regular builders, they make your heart absolutely burst with pride.

1. "The customers are so happy with it."

2. "Your guy was so good, there was nothing he couldn't do."

3. "If your young guy didn't have anything to do, then he was sweeping the floor."

5. "Your stonemason has called me a few times with updates."

It's the little things that mean a lot.

Harold and I went to JBI today.
This was their hot take:

Cabinet making businesses aren't trade businesses.
They're manufacturing businesses. 🤔

What you see installed in someone's home,
That's the final 10% of the job.
Everything that made it possible happened in the factory.

Measure. Draft. Cut. Edge. Assemble. Prep. Transport.
Then "trade business."

The install is only as good as the factory.
The factory is only as good as the planning.
The planning is only as good as the wife's encouragement.

I'm a manufacturer's wife now.

Bad news I'm afraid -
We're down an apprentice.
For 3 months.

Hannah is off to the USA. 🛩
For an international netball program!

We're incredibly proud to see her go.
Enjoy every minute.

Someone is definitely going to steal your lunch chair.

4 movers
3 days onsite
2 installers
1 tiny error across the entire project

Still to come:
