We were thrilled to be recognised with the 2025 Frederick Romberg Award at the National Architecture Awards last night!
This is a credit to the commitment of so many contributors from so many disciplines to develop this modular system over the last 14 years.
A very special thanks to our collab partners on the project, the incredibly talented team at Vokes and Peters.
Stuart Vokes and Jarred Gunn proposed an unexpected, yet somehow obvious diagram of three terrace houses in this beachfront setting on the dunes of Minjerribah, an island off the coast of Brisbane.
This was a response to a brief from three sisters who had spent their holidays on the same site since they were teenagers in a beachhouse built by their parents in the 1970s. They used this house until it was falling down around them, and then approached us to design and build a new house for themselves, their children and grandchildren, one which could be delivered quickly and affordably (with equal access to the beach so there’d be no fights).. It has been such a delight working with each of you on this project.
