Greenhills Restorations is changing to Bloxsome Decks.
Been having a few messages from other Greenhills Restorations and who is who and who has entitlement to the name.
Anyway, I have found my place and direction of focus and it has been a big couple of years of positive changes, so with that I’m just going to keep moving forward and use my own name and do what I do best.
Which is what I am already doing anyway. Awesome decks, pergolas, outdoor areas and studio builds.
So sharing some photos of my new logo and 1 of 2 decks I am currently adding to this house renovation I have been a part of.
This is a spotted gum deck.
I take the time to blending the boards.
It’s not just put them down any old way.
Also it’s about minimising wastage and I like to spread the joins.
Often you see decks with a pattern where the butt joints are.
Personally I think that makes them stand out, so I believe spreading them and then the eye doesn’t notice them as much.
I have a few rules of thumb for that. If you’re a diy deck builder working on your own then feel free to hit me up for some tips if you like.
Another thing that’s seen often on decks is the plinth board hard up against the outer joist/bearer/ledger which to me creates a water trap that will cause problems down the track. So I pack out the plinth. Or if I do put it hard up on the ledger, then I run it under the outer deck board.
If you want an awesome deck like this or interested in any of ideas, then hit me up for a free quote and tips.
