This Cessnock renovation is proof that accessible bathrooms don't have to feel clinical or cut corners on style.

We started with a large, open shower designed for easy access, with plenty of room to fit a chair now or a tiled-in seat down the track. Right alongside it, we added a freestanding back-to-wall bathtub, chosen for its flush design that keeps cleaning simple and the look clean. A wall-hung vanity opens the room up and makes it feel bigger, while mirrored shaving cabinets above bring back the storage without crowding the space.

The takeaway? You don't have to sacrifice the bath, the storage, or the style to make a bathroom that works for you long-term.

Three things worth checking before you hire anyone to renovate your bathroom 👇

1️⃣ Are they a bathroom specialist, or a general builder having a crack? Specialists do this every day. The finish shows it.

2️⃣ Who's running the trades? A proper bathroom builder manages all trades for you. If you're being asked to coordinate it yourself, that's a red flag.

3️⃣ Check their licence on the NSW Fair Trading website. Don't just take their word for it. Unlicensed work becomes your problem the moment something goes wrong.
