📍 Sydney, NSW | Heritage conservation + Passivhaus certification
The Glover Passivhaus is one of our favourite reminders of what's possible when architecture, sustainability, and craft come together from day one.
What started as a dilapidated California Bungalow — vacant for years, with a leaking roof and rotting timber — was transformed by Passive House certified architect Edward Dieppe of Dieppe Design into a certified Passivhaus family home. Rather than demolishing the original, Dieppe preserved the heritage California Bungalow streetscape and introduced a modern, open living extension at the rear. Character preserved. Performance maximised.
Achieving Passivhaus certification demands airtight construction, exceptional insulation, and glazing that works as part of a complete thermal envelope — not just a compliance checkbox. BINQ's timber windows and doors were specified to meet exactly that standard, delivering double-glazed, airtight performance with the craftsmanship the project deserved.
For architects, builders, and developers who want to push beyond compliance into genuine performance — this is the standard we're here to help you reach.
