🔨 Today’s episode of “How Hard Can It Be?”… FLOORING! 😂

I was determined to learn how to lay this flooring myself… The first few rows nearly broke me. There was pushing, tapping, pulling it back apart, a few words that definitely aren’t in the instruction manual, questioning my life choices and wondering why they JUST. WOULDN’T. JOIN. 🤬😂

Eventually I found my rhythm……🔨🙌

I’m only halfway, hopefully I’ll come close to finishing tomorrow…. but after today, I’m making absolutely NO promises. 😂😂

They say slow and steady wins the race… and I think they might be right. 😊

I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel… or should I say, the workshop spaces! 🛠️✨

The woodwork space is nearly there—it just needs my favourite electrician to work his magic. ⚡❤️

The craft room is coming together beautifully too, with just the flooring, sink and electrical work left to finish.

It’s been a big project, but seeing it all finally take shape makes every bit of hard work worthwhile. I can’t wait to start creating in these spaces. 💚

Update

Our town has seen some major flooding this week, thank you to everyone who has checked on our welfare. We’ve been very fortunate that our place hasn’t been inundated, but sadly many others in the community have .😞
Builder will need to delay lining the second bay of my workshop this week as he understandably is needed else where.

In the meantime, I’m back on the tools today, working on an Easter crate before the bunny hops into town. Hopefully this one turns out egg-stra special! 🐰

✨ A New Chapter ✨

After many wonderful years as Chalk It Up Goondiwindi, life has taken me to a new town and into a new season.

While I’ve left Goondiwindi, I haven’t left behind my love of creating beautiful, handcrafted pieces. In fact… it’s grown.

So instead of starting again, I’m simply turning the page.

I’m so excited to introduce the new name for this space:

Still the same heart.
Still created with love.

Just a fresh chapter, new inspiration, and a new place to grow.

✨ Exciting Changes Ahead ✨

As many of you know, I’ve recently said goodbye to Goondiwindi and closed a very special chapter of my journey. With that comes a fresh new beginning, new name and workshop space.
