It's been a pleasure working with our client on the renovation and small extension of her cottage. We focused on creating a more functional, open layout and rebuilding the utility spaces, giving the home a significant update.

Six months have flown past since I promised some project images, but here they are!

Little Room Architecture’s debut project was a special commission, a renovation & extension for dear friends.

The views were the selling factor for the property which came with a 1970’s brown brick family home. This was essentially gutted and reconfigured to become the private quarters of the home, whilst the new extension provides a spacious and light filled place for everyday living and entertaining. Materials and finishes were selected to lean toward the owner’s more traditional aesthetic.

The owner’s love of reading lead to the loft which is a focus of the home, second only to the amazing views.

Sorry that I have been quiet on the Facebook front - the first year for Little Room has kept me very busy! I have recently completed the forever home for some very dear friends - keep an eye out for some photos!

I will be taking a break over Christmas and school holidays. I hope you all spend some quality time with family & friends over the holidays!

Thanks for all the support I have received this year. Looking forward to progressing some exciting projects in 2025!

Hi! I’m Kimberley Campbell, Director and Architect at Little Room Architecture.

With over 18 years of experience in architecture, I'm passionate about creating spaces that sit comfortably in their environment, respond to the climate and provide functionality that reflects and supports the people within them.

I began working at DesignInc Adelaide in 2005 (whilst studying) and continued to work there after I graduated from the University of South Australia in 2007. This allowed me to hone my abilities across all phases of project delivery, from master planning and concept development to technical documentation and contract administration. During this time, I worked on various projects in the public and private sectors including residential, commercial and industrial buildings but with a focus on education facilities.

I've always believed that the key to a successful architectural project is strong collaboration and communication between the client, the design team, and the builder.

In 2018, a family move to Clare presented a new opportunity. I started working with Greg Pulford at GP Architects until his retirement at the end of last year. It was a great opportunity to focus on residential architecture and explore a more personal, intimate scale of design, as well as broadening my skillset with the support of a wonderful mentor. I’ve loved collaborating directly with local clients to bring their projects to life and am excited to continue this through Little Room Architecture.
