Gracious! It’s what comes to mind when I think of the client who owns this wardrobe. She’s remarkably kind, polite, elegant and luxurious all in one. So to have the privilege of decluttering and organising her wardrobe has made my day.

Not only did she power through making decluttering decisions like a pro with my gentle guidance and donate 4 big bags of clothes to vinnies, get rid of a bag of rubbish and end up with a fully functioning wardrobe that works for her and not the other way around. She was able to simplify her getting ready process and gain back valuable time in her every day life.

With some new but still slightly familiar systems in place, the hope is that this new set up will make things easier and more fluent without too much of a change to her life.

Before & After from my first ever paid job.

I often wonder if I was able to go back and redo rooms I’d done years ago, if my client and I’d be able to do another deep dive and declutter even more or would I organise it differently now. But mainly I see how far I’ve come as a professional organiser not just with my decluttering skills but also with my ability to make a client feel at ease and out of their comfort zone all at the same time while feeling safe enough to let someone into their mess.

👓Do your kids have glasses? This is the hack for you.

The humble hook does it again and honestly for the grand old price of $1 they are worth it!

I discovered this hack 4 years ago by accident and we still use it to this day! Same hook too. It helps to create this habit WITH your kids for the first few weeks so they become used to using it. After that though they will eventually start doing it all on their own. Keeps glasses safe and easily accessible.
