It’s been a constant battle keeping on top of the watering in this heat, but it’s all worth it when I’m treated with such a beautiful result like these Gladiolus called ‘Alice’ 🧡

These flower stakes have been a real hit!
They not only add a pop of colour to your pots and garden but they’re also sustainably created with used bottle caps - dad drinks the beer and I use the bottle caps, it’s a win win! 🤪🍻

Reach out if you’d like one of the few that are left!

Summer is the time for vegie patches to start really growing. All that hard work from Spring will begin the bare fruits (pardon the pun). This is now a great time to bring some serious colour to the garden and the vegie patch With a little bit of planning you will soon have a garden full of your own food and a bounty of beautiful flowers!

Welcome to Lupin Lane

I’ve loved gardening for as long as I can remember… and I have my grandparents to thank for that.

My maternal grandfather grew his own produce to feed the family in his early days and passed his gardening knowledge to me when visiting after school.

My paternal grandmother ‘Nandy’ is also one to thank who carried a wealth of knowledge she gained from her time working at the Queensland Wheat Research Institute and nurturing her beautiful garden nestled in Lupin court throughout her retirement.

It was roughly 20 years ago when dire times struck my family, and Nandy visited us down our little lane for an extended stay. During this time, it was gardening that nurtured us - we needed the garden more than the garden needed us. Nandy set to design a magical garden in our backyard for my sisters and I to explore. It had winding path ways named after us, an ant hill transformed into a magic mountain where wizards were housed, butterflies & mirrors swaying from the trees and not to mention an abundance of colourful flowers.

It wasn’t until later in my life, while growing my love of gardening and appreciation of nature that I realised there is so much more to gardening than just growing flowers; it’s a place where I can find myself… and some kind of calm amongst the chaos.

To thank Nandy for sharing her love of gardening she had in Lupin Court and teaching me how to garden and it’s therapeutic value during her stays down our little Lane, I’ve created Lupin Lane - a place where I share my love of gardening, projects, and plans to build a magical space that symbolises & acknowledges both of my dear grandparents who gave me the gift of gardening 🤍🌱🌸
