A little bit about us .
At The Deck Company we bring over two decades of experience and expertise to your home improvement needs. Our founder, Steven McLean, began his journey as a Cabinet Maker before joining the family building business as a carpentry apprentice. With years of hands-on experience in crafting architectural homes and handling diverse renovation projects, Steven honed his skills in building and renovating kitchens, bathrooms, patios, and deckings.
In 2011, Steven achieved his Builder’s Licence, and by 2014, he decided to channel his passion into creating his own business, Macka’s Building. Over the years, Macka’s Building grew into a trusted name, known for its quality craftsmanship and dedication to customer satisfaction. Our team, comprising Steven, two skilled Carpenters, and a Labourer, has worked tirelessly to deliver outstanding results on every project.

In early 2024, responding to the exceptional feedback and growing demand for our decking and patio work, we decided to focus more on this exciting aspect of our business. This shift led to a rebranding, and we are thrilled to introduce ourselves as The Deck Co.
While our name has changed, our commitment to excellence remains unwavering. At The Deck Company we continue to offer the same high standards of home renovations and construction services that have earned us our reputation. Whether you're looking to transform your outdoor space with a new deck or patio or tackle other home renovation projects, you can trust us to deliver with quality and precision.

Our recently completed Eko Deck.
There is many benefits to using Eko Decking.
Eko Decking does not require oiling, painting or sealing that regular timber does. It is also rot, decay and termite resistant.
