Exciting news for our business! Best Buy Steel is currently relocating to our own warehouse facility (it is nearly finished - see the photo). So we will finally have a permanent home.
​During this transition, we have shifted to a Delivery & Pre-arranged Collection model. While our physical store front is temporarily closed for the move, our team is still operational and delivering daily around the Perth metro area and beyond.

RELOCATION AND HOURS UPDATE:
The shed in Gingin is coming along well but we're running out of time to get our relocation done before the developers take over our current site. To help us get the relocation done in time, we'll only be opening the warehouse on Wattleup Rd on Monday mornings, Wednesdays and Fridays from Mon 17 Nov until we close to do the full move in Early-Mid Dec 2025. Then we'll reopen in Gingin in Jan 2026.

SCALING DOWN AND RELOCATING

• Best Buy Steel has now scaled down operations in preparation for some changes including relocation.

• We are now mainly only taking two types of orders: orders from existing trade customers and orders where we are helping other prior customers finish off their existing projects.

• We won’t leave you stuck, so we will still supply whatever materials you need if you are completing an already-started project with materials from us.

• Note however, that we now have minimal staff so normal levels of service may not be possible.

• From April until June, our Wattleup location is closed except by appointment although some limited deliveries and pick ups may still be possible.

• In July, we will again open our warehouse in Wattleup to everyone and have a sale to reduce remaining stock levels before our relocation back to Gingin, where Best Buy Steel began.

• More information will be provided on the future of Best Buy Steel after the Gingin relocation is complete.

• Keep an eye out on the website for some specials from 1 July.

We appreciate our customer’s support over many years and we apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment these changes may cause.

Please read this important announcement about some big changes:

• Sale of some stocked items is continuing until Saturday 2 April 2022, however sales of Colorbond and some other products have generally now ceased.

• Most deliveries will end by Fri 1st of April 2022

Due to the high incidence of COVID in the community in WA and associated disruptions to staffing, manufacturing and wholesale supply, Best Buy Steel is scaling our operations down to try to maintain a moderate but sustainable level of service. This means that we have ceased all telephone and counter sales until further notice. Deliveries will be continuing, although capacity may be reduced. Pick ups can only occur for pre-paid, pre-arranged orders after you have been advised that your order is ready to collect. Instructions will be displayed on the gate to facilitate entry and collection of your order. You can still place orders via our website at www.bestbuysteel.com.au or else leave send an email and we will get back to you when we can.

Ongoing Shortages & DelaysSome items that we normally stock, and others that we can normally bring in with minimal lead-time, are subject to ongoing shortages. This website shows expected, but not actual, stock so use care with your expectations about availability. Also, manufacturing of rollformed....

We can now supply these sturdy post bases to suit 75 x 75mm, 90 x 90mm and 100 x 100mm square posts. There's a 4-hole base and also a 2-hole version.

The tube goes inside the sleeve so the bracket is visible outside the tube but these are much more sturdy than anything we've been able to offer before.

The 75 x 75mm base isn't a bad fit inside 90 x 90 x 2mm posts if you're trying to hide more of the bracket too.

We have some in stock and can bring more in on demand.

Well we tried the different opening hours, and it did help us to catch up on some work we were behind on, but we feel like closing later Wed - Fri was only useful to a few people whereas opening Saturday mornings is better for more of our customers. So our hours are going back to what they were:

The office and warehouse will be open from 7:30am - 4:00pm Mon - Fri and from 8:00am - 12 noon Sat.

If you are turning up towards closing time and need cutting, or a lot of materials, then it would help us if you could arrive before 3:30pm or else phone your order through in advance.
