My passion, the macro vision, is preservation of soil, water, air and all living organisms, in short, the living environment. By creating a habitat for local wildlife I am also providing a habitat for beneficial fungi, insect as well as birds to help control pest insects and pollination of food plants. If we can create suburbs of habitat gardens with sustainable kitchen gardens then combined these gardens create the cycle that is the living environment. What we do is find out what our clients want, what plants will suet the given growing conditions and put together a plant list that suits our clients wants, that will thrive incorporating food and shelter for birds into the design. We charge for our services but we are confident our advice actually save money. I have a saying "the most expensive plant is a dead plant". The cost is not only financial, there is a time and often emotional cost ... AND without the right advice usually repeated.

I have some friends that only want to have plant that they can eat in their gardens. Thats great, but, ..., I was going to say boring (which it is), its also a neon sign to damaging insects. A combined habit garden with kitchen garden and fruit trees excludes the need for intensive toxic intervention.

I strongly believe that if we want to we can turn our urban environment into a haven for wildlife. I have helped numerous people create gardens for birds and butterflies and frogs. I have been humbled by the joy experienced by my clients when the wild life visit their gardens.
I know that I can help you to create a habitat at your place. Maybe you and me can take it further with one or two others to include the whole urban environment.
