Continuing on with our small business support - a big shout out to all of the tradies, builders and landscapers that we have here in Cowra.

These guys may not have a shopfront but they're still a small business and many of them donate to our town's sporting programs, fundraisers and events throughout the year.

Frames and Trusses thanks to MBS Building Supplies
For this job we have used a new product called LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) studs. Slightly more expensive than regular timber frames but it means no bending, no warping and no frame straightening required which = a big saving on labour time and costs on the builders end.

EPIC does not even begin to describe this incredible build! 2 halves have now become a whole. The steel and timber work in this beauty is incredible. Lots of box gutter and facade framing to come.

Sometimes, when it comes to renovations and extensions things don’t always go to plan. Unfortunately for these clients a termite infestation in the original frames and a concrete slab that didn’t meet current Council specs meant that we had to demolish the old home that was due to be renovated and extended onto and start anew!
•
But as far as we are concerned the structural integrity of any build/reno/extension is paramount to creating an incredible finished product and therefore the old structures of this project had to go!
•
But onwards and upwards…….3m deep pier holes dug and poured today ready for this home’s incredible burnished concrete slab, recycled brick features and funky modern, industrial vibe will be worth the extra effort!
