Step 3: Find more roots.
Step 4: Wonder if the roots are actually connected to New Zealand.

Safe to say this garden is officially agapanthus-free and ready for its next chapter. 🙌

One thing we love about grevilleas is their natural sweeping growth habit 🌿✨ They’re not meant to be tight and formal — that soft, flowing shape is part of what makes them so beautiful.

But over time they can start to feel heavy, overgrown or lose definition.

For this one, we carried out a light canopy lift and selective prune to lift the lower growth, improve shape and keep that natural form while creating a cleaner, tidier finish.

The goal isn’t to make them look heavily trimmed — just maintained in a way that lets the plant shine 🌳

This garden was still beautiful but needed a good prune and some mulch to bring everything back into order. To fix an overgrown Gaura (butterfly bush) we gave it a big prune, this refreshes the plant and encourages a dense bushy shape with a heap of new blooms 🌿🌸
