Ascot Vale Double Glazed Window Replacement

This recent project in Ascot Vale involved replacing five heavily deteriorated timber windows with new Nu-Eco uPVC double glazed windows, helping improve comfort, noise and energy efficiency throughout the home.

One of the things this customer was most excited about after installation was the immediate improvement in both internal temperature and noise reduction. Like many older Melbourne homes and units, the original wooden windows offered very little insulation from outside temperatures or everyday noise.

Custom Rosewood uPVC Double Glazed Windows & Doors – Princes Hill VIC 3054

One of the main goals for this Princes Hill project was reducing outside noise, with the home located directly beside a busy primary school.

The owners wanted to make the townhouse quieter and more thermally comfortable, while still keeping a warm architectural appearance externally. For this project, we installed custom Rosewood stained wood-look uPVC double glazed windows and doors externally, paired with white uPVC internally to suit the modern interior finishes throughout the home.

In total, 23 custom double glazed window and door frames were installed across the three-storey townhouse.

Homes like this require a thoughtful approach.

This beautiful mudbrick home in Eltham South — is an Alistair Knox home — it has incredible character, natural light and connection to the surrounding landscape.

But like many architectural homes of this era, it was also extremely difficult to keep warm through winter.

The challenge wasn’t simply improving thermal performance.

It was upgrading the home in a way that still respected the original architecture and atmosphere that made the property special in the first place.

This architectural home in Eltham looked great — but was incredibly difficult to live in during winter.

With large open spaces, high ceilings and very few internal walls, heat would simply escape through the existing windows… making it almost impossible to warm up properly.
