This week our grader begins work at Tannumbirini Station, grading existing fence lines and new, water access roads, and main station roads.

Our operator has the knowledge and experience to ensure your roads are properly graded, built up correctly, and designed for maximum water drainage during the wet season months.

We come fully equipped with a self-sufficient camp setup, allowing us to stay on site and work remotely when required.

📢 Applications Open – 2026 Season 📢

Lonestar Contracting has opened applications for the 2026 season.

Throughout 2026, we are looking for experienced people to join our crew for bull & buffalo catching camps and mustering operations across the NT and QLD.

Mustering is carried out on horseback and motorbikes.

We will be camping out for most of the year, with food, a full camp kitchen, and Starlink internet provided.

Mustering Positions – Requirements

Successful applicants must have:
• Minimum 1 year experience mustering on horseback and/or motorbikes
• A can-do attitude and the ability to work well in a team
• At least two work references

Catching Camp Positions – Requirements

Successful applicants must have:
• Minimum 1 year experience working in a bull or buffalo catching camp
• HR licence or higher preferred but not essential

Additional Information
• ABN holders are welcome to apply (proof of insurance required)
• Not applicable to Working Holiday Visa (WHV) holders

Lonestar Contracting is currently seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our teams in both buffalo and bull catching camps. Multiple positions are available for the upcoming season.

✅The ability to work well as part of a team, but also think independently and react quickly
✅Willingness to camp out for the majority of the contract period
✅At least two references from previous bull or buffalo catching experience
✅HR or MC licences are desirable but not essential

Work is mustering and finishing 2nd round.

Bits and bobs of what’s been happening at Dry River Station, NT for the last 3 months.
We’ve completed first round mustering and built 2x sets of weaner pens. Now the crew is off to a fishing trip and the show for a well earned break. 🐮🤠🍻

Lonestar Contracting is looking for 2-3 experienced people due to an increase in work to start ASAP.

We travel throughout the NT and QLD for different contracts ranging from fencing, yard building, mustering and bull catching. We’re looking for someone who can have the flexibility to travel for work.

The right candidate must have the following:
- Good work ethic
- Can do attitude
- Tidy, clean habits with self motivation
- Ability to learn new things on the go
- Be able to work in a team or by yourself
- Welding knowledge and bike experience is highly desired
- Must have own ABN and transport
