To all Clearreception customers and friends. It was announced about security vulnerabilities exposed in software that is used in a lot of today’s world.

Wanted to send message to everyone to try prevent being hacked or data stolen.

Some steps to try and proctect yourself

1. Update all app in phone, computer windows and apps installed. and appliances - Any cctv units or similar devices. Everything.

*some people may have chat gpt or Claude installed you could ask it to run a security and and update all software etc is probably the easiest.

2. Setup 2fa on everything you can. It’s a pain going forward but not a much of pain if you get random ware attacked

3. Run regular backups both cloud and in usb hdd so you have two copies incase one breaks. USB is good becuase it’s manual and disconnected from internet

4. Setup password manager 1password or NordPass are good. They can be little fiddley to setup and get used to but are worth it.

5. Update Virus protection - If you are business then have your IT company check over.

5. Dont click on links you don’t know where coming. Check the domain of the link if you don’t know it or can’t understand it dont click.
