The new garden path is coming along nicely although 20mm of rain overnight will halt progress until it drys out. I’ve been slipping for weeks along this path.
Craig is now getting wheel spin.
I’m dreaming of summer roses❀️

My goodness there are some big tubers this year.
I decided to try some cheap snow pants - absolutely fantastic warm and dry.

Boring but important things are currently happening around the place at the moment...
400m of water pipe is almost completed for this year's planting.
I have a heap of seeds and corms to pot up for spring.
The dahlia dig started yesterday with the excitement of plump, healthy tubers after a woeful growing season. The excitement soon turned to dread as I started washing off my tubers, thinking about the hours ahead of me, wet and cold, dividing the plants in the shed.
This morning's view from the Adelaide Hills: the dahlia patch is somewhere in the fog.
I'm still sitting inside, about to rug up and get on with it. New boots waiting to get dirty πŸ’–

I've spent two weeks chasing cockies out of my olive trees.
We are set up and ready to harvest tomorrow.
We're doing things a little differently for our second harvest.
See the link below for the new tree shaker/rake that goes on the end of the whipper snipper.
See the second link for the annoying, relentless visitors. 😩

Feeling a little out of sorts lately?
Well Mother Nature throwing the garden all sorts of weather at the moment resulting in a second flush of aggies, the gums have started to burst into flower, the bees are in a frenzy. Dahlia have perked up this week, roses are looking the best they have all year, all with a splash of Autumn colour and some with spring flowers.

Productive Easter weekend. Have turned over the veggie beds, topped them up with new soil and planted winter veggies, rhubarb, and herbs. Completed with a bunny-proof fence. I experimented with different seeds, all mixed in one raised bed. Let's see how this works out.
Hopefully, we will have some homegrown veggies soon. πŸ₯•πŸ«›πŸ₯¦πŸ«œ

🐝✨ Took my new camera for a spin around the garden today and captured a few busy little bees!
Honestly, I’m so impressed with the detail β€” you can see the tiny details in the bee's wings.

What an upgrade the Nikon Z8 is! 😍🐝
Can't wait to get it into the studio.
