Found this beautiful orchid during one of our walks though the garden in Florence.

It's called the Ophrys Apifera, the European Bee orchid. Grows from a stem similar to the green hooded orchid. Approximate size no more than 15mm from petal end to end.

Many years ago l installed these manual gate in Nth Warrandyte. Due to some unforeseen circumstances there was an urgent need to make them electric.

Installed new steel posts, relocated gates, organised electrics, wire installed for small dog security, then (due to the L-R slope of the driveway) raised the height of the driveway with tuscan topping to eliminate gaps

It was a bit of a timely process having to fit the work in between jobs, but successful accomplished in the end. Home owner can now breathe a little easier.

A few more fence replacement completed in the past few weeks. One in Eltham North and the other in South Morang.

Both old hardwood fence that far exceeded their life space. Both replaced with the usual treated pine paling fence

Another busy week heading into Easter.
2 new fences, 1 in Macleod an the another in Bundoora.

Both had there challenges, dealing with existing concrete slabs where posts needed to be installed, plus garden bed built up close to the fence line.
Being both a gardener and a fencer, we always limiting the need to destroy plants to build a fence.

A nice garden clean up in Bundoora to finish off the week. In the nice neighbourly spirit, it was one neighbour helping out another to fund the work.

Hard to see in photos, but the work involved included trimming tree, mowing the lawns (forest), relocation of corrugated steel and the removal and disposal of approx. 5m3 of old timber.

A desperately need fence build in Briar Hill.

Some stubborn Ivy removal from a property in Research

A few local odd job recently completed.

Re-layed and re-grouted some Sandstone crazy paving in Diamond Creek and installed some new sub floor vents in St.Helena to assist with airflow under the house.
