Mick Warren Property Repairs & Renovations We are a Property Repairs and Renovations company, providing an Excellent, Reliable service to the home and business owners.

We carry out Interior and exterior painting, plastering and repairs of all types. Decking, pergolas as well as renovations from start to finish including roof replacements repairs and repaints, cubby houses and entertainment areas. With over 30 years experience, we cover a large area of southern Tasmania.

A Flood Emergency Warning - Prepare to Evacuate has been issued for Railton and surrounds by Tasmania SES.

Flooding is occurring on Redwater Creek, Railton.

Locations likely to be impacted are: Railton and surrounds

Evacuation centres are located at:
• Railton Green Shed - 52 Crockers Street, Railton and
• Latrobe Memorial Hall, 170 Gilbert Street, Latrobe

Flooding is occurring now.
• Flood waters are expected to enter some properties causing significant and widespread flooding.
• Flood waters are a threat to safety.
• Driving conditions may be dangerous and roads are likely to be impacted.

Flood waters are a risk to safety, never walk, play, ride, or drive in floodwater.

What to do:

If you live in the alert area and/or near the Redwater Creek, Railton, SES advises:
• If you have a flood plan, use it now.
• Consider leaving now for a safer place if it is safe to do so. This may include going to the home of family or friends.
• Follow the advice of emergency services.
• If you do choose to leave now, let your family or friends know when you are leaving and when you expect to arrive. Take pets with you.
• If you choose not to leave now, be ready to evacuate if this is advised by emergency services.

🔥ℹ A state-wide Fire Permit Period has been declared from tomorrow (1 December) until the end of the 2021-22 bushfire danger period.

From 2am tomorrow, if you wish to burn on your property, you will need to apply for a free Fire Permit, by contacting your local fire brigade or calling Tasmania Fire Service on 1800 000 699.

While the fire permit period is in place:

1. People intending to light a fire for burning vegetation or for a similar purpose must obtain a permit.

2. People intending to light a fire at a sawmill or factory for burning wood waste or other flammable material must obtain a permit.

3. People intending to light a fire for cooking, warmth or disposal of garden waste do not require a permit provided that:
• The fire is not lit in peat, humus or marram grass.
• The fire is attended by a responsible adult at all times until it is extinguished.
• All flammable material is removed for at least three metres radius from the fire.
• It is less than one cubic metre in size.

NOTE: Some Local Government authorities prohibit backyard burning in residential areas.
