🌿 Mowing & Maintenance Labourer Wanted 🌿

The time has come! Workload and seasonal changes are becoming too much for little old me to manage by myself, and I don't want to let any of our valued clients down.

Bowles Mowing & Maintenance is looking for a reliable casual labourer to assist with lawn mowing, gardening and general property maintenance throughout Donald and surrounding districts.

Duties may include:
• Lawn mowing
• Whipper snipping and edging
• Garden maintenance
• Hedge trimming assistance
• Gutter cleaning assistance
• Green waste removal
• General property maintenance tasks

What we're looking for:
• Reliable and punctual
• Physically fit and capable of outdoor work
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Driver's licence preferred
• Experience is beneficial but not essential

Hours:
• Casual position
• Hours and days will vary depending on workload and weather for the week
• Additional hours may be available depending on workload and suitability

🌧️ Last night’s handy little ~14mm of rain meant today’s original mowing schedule had to be postponed 📆 🌱

Rather than sit around waiting for things to dry out, we took the opportunity to catch up on some behind-the-scenes work — including book work and giving the mowers some well deserved maintenance 🔧🛠️

Today’s jobs included:
✅ Oil changed
✅ New spark plugs
✅ Air & fuel filter replacements
✅ Greasing moving parts
✅ General servicing and checks

Preventative maintenance is a huge part of keeping our equipment reliable and ensuring we can continue providing quality services for our clients week in, week out 💪🚜

Hopefully things dry out over the next couple of days and we’ll be back into it soon! ☀️🌿

Popcorn and I had a busy week, completing a mix of jobs including a hay delivery for one of our irregular clients, along with Premium Mowing Services for our regular clients 👌

👋 Hi everyone — I thought it was time I properly introduced myself.

My name is Spencer Bowles, and I’m the owner and operator of Bowles Mowing & Maintenance — a family-owned and operated mowing and property maintenance business here in regional Victoria. 🌱🚜

Behind the business is my beautiful fiancé Nikita, and our two gorgeous children — Ezra (3) and Noelle (0) ❤️
They are my reason. My drive. My motivation to build something successful and long-lasting. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✨

I came into this industry from a hospitality and retail background.
I didn’t grow up in lawns and gardens — I built my skills through hands-on experience, DIY projects, short courses, certificates, and a lot of learning along the way. 🛠️📚

I’ve never been to uni.
Everything I know has come from persistence, curiosity, and a desire to get better every single day. 💪

I’m stubborn enough to stick at something until I get it right…
But I’m also not afraid to fail if it means I learn and improve. 🔄📈

My favourite part of this job?
Easing stress and pressure for my clients.
There’s nothing better than knowing I’ve helped make someone’s life a little easier. 🙌

I’m incredibly grateful for how far the business has come over the last 3 years — especially grinding 7 days a week to build it. 🙏🔥

In 2026, I’m aiming for more balance.
More weekends with family.
More quality time with the people who matter most. 🏡❤️

And the truth?

Even with the growth and success, I still doubt myself sometimes.
Some days are harder than others.
