A full-sized door wasn’t going to work here, the bulkhead under the front verandah meant the door would hit before opening fully.

So instead of saying “can’t be done”, we reworked the setup.

By installing a security screen above, we were able to lower the top of the door jamb and create the lower closing point for the door.

Now, we can confidently say that the security door delivers complete accessibility and full functionality for this customer. They were extremely satisfied with the solution, which successfully provided them with a secure door that meets their needs.

This one came up an absolute treat 👌
Here’s that oversized entry door from last week, now brought back to life with a sleek new finish.
Big shoutout to who handled the sandblasting, treated the raw metal, and applied a fresh Satin Black powdercoat. The result speaks for itself 🔥
Even better, we were able to reuse the existing mesh - just a gentle pressure wash to remove dirt and salt spray had it looking as good as new.
Love seeing a solid door get a second life like this.

At 1.2 metres wide by almost 2.4 high, it’s quite a sight to behold.
