Summer is here +
your lawn needs your help ☀️🌱
We’ve had some pretty hot days already in the lead up to Summer, and this means your lawn needs to be watered twice weekly in most cases.
However making sure you’re using your sprinklers at the right time of day (preferably early in the morning as this helps to reduce fungal diseases), ensuring their working properly, and running them for the right amount of time not only ensures you’re not wasting water it means your lawn is getting water to the root where it’s needed.
Something to look out for is if your soil has become hydrophobic, as then unfortunately all the above will make little to no difference - so it’s also important to check after your sprinklers have run and see if the water is getting down in to the soil or is just at surface level. Adding a wetting agent will help tackle this issue.
