We recently bought pea straw mulch for the first time. It came up full of heavy grass seed. Downsideā€¦having to pull out a bunch of crops before they were ready. Upsideā€¦still being able to use some of them, like these delicious little carrotsšŸ™šŸ˜

Hereā€™s a small patch beside the broad beans that Iā€™m using to regrow celery. I keep the base, leave it in water for a few days to get ā€˜startedā€™, then pop it it here with the other 2nd chancers to have another go. Itā€™s slow growing over winter, but they are all happy enough.šŸŒæ
