Entry into The Castor House. Steppers from the front garden into the arched doorway. A Restraint palette but highly textured - from the rough cast garden walls to the rhythm of timber battens and the waxy finish of polished plaster. Castor House allows its occupants to seek a refuge from its surrounding urban environment.

Castor House

Presenting a sculptural street frontage, the house frames the large and well formed Angophora Costata tree specimen. The materiality of soft apricots on the bricks references the bark of the Angophora.

This walk in robe uses warm timber veneers throughout. A restrain palette allows the space to remain calm. A pop up skylight filters light onto the central console and allows the space to glow with natural light.

THE KEEP

We create these moments in a house where every corner (or curve) is an experience. This vestibule at the entry is where shoes are taken off and coats are hanged in our custom designed cabinet. We worked with the client and their vast collection to incorporate artworks in our design. Here this marble sculpture is placed with a curving timber background, responding to the cylindrical pedestal.
