Short week comes to an end in a flash. Appointments for next week are filling fast so as always we advise you to call ahead and book if you need a key programmed.

We welcome walk in customers for simple jobs like battery replacement or to get a key shell replaced.

Moats of the jobs in these photos take between 45-90 minutes to complete so an appointment is essential to avoid a longer wait.

Just a few of the cars that have come through the workshop in the last few days. They come in all shapes and sizes with varying degrees of difficulty.

Many of these cars were referred to us, as they had tried other companies but they could not supply and program the keys needed.

Some jobs just cannot be done safely on your driveway and need to be done in a workshop. Volvo cars are particularly true of this.

We do lots of Volvo keys because we stock genuine key fobs and have a workshop setup specifically for this type of work.

We are constantly amazed by the things people believe are possible, like if “I give you my VIN can you just make a key for my car and post it to me.”

Another great one is, “aren’t all these keys essentially the same so can’t I just use a different style key with my car cause I like the look of it”

Either way, if you need a spare key for your car, going to a family business that has been doing this everyday for 19 years is definitely the best choice.

Happy Monday folks. Last week ended in a blur and so I forgot to post this.

With so many new vehicle security systems, we are constantly adding new products but cannot keep up the job of adding them to our website immediately. So even if you don’t see your key on our website, don’t fear we probably have a solution for it.

The owner of this Japanese imported 1998 Mercedes C43 AMG had been to a few other companies and none of them could supply and program a key for it.

He was referred to us and we were more than happy to help. The process is quite different as this vehicle does not have a standard 16 pin OBD port but we were still able to complete the job without a fuss.

As winter approaches and the rain returns, don’t just think of this in terms of your tyres needing grip. What if you drop you key in a puddle or the button pads are gone leaving a hole in your key?

Water and electronics should not mix. Having a spare key is the best defence against the huge stress caused by your only key stopping working in the rain.
