Tuesday we offer 10% OFF storewide to our seniors as a small gesture of appreciation.

Running a business is a funny thing.

Some days you’re unloading trucks, answering phones, watering plants, solving problems and wondering where the day disappeared to.

But every now and then you get a chance to stop and remember why you started.

For us, Tuesdays are one of those days.

Our Seniors Day isn’t about a promotion.

It’s our way of saying thank you.

Thank you to the people who built the communities we now get to live and work in.

The people who raised families, started businesses, volunteered at local clubs, supported schools, coached sport, cared for neighbours and helped create the towns we all love today.

Many of our senior customers have supported us from the very beginning. Some have watched our family business grow over many years. Others are new faces who pop in for a chat, a coffee and a wander through the nursery.

The truth is, we value every single one of you.

So every Tuesday we offer 10% OFF storewide to our seniors as a small gesture of appreciation.

It’s not much compared to what you’ve contributed to our communities, but it’s something we’re proud to do.

And this month there’s an added bonus.

Every purchase also puts you in the running for our Plantfarm Paydays.

We’ve already given away plenty of $100 gift cards and one lucky customer will still walk away with our major prize of…

💰 $5,000 CASH 💰

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting our family, our team and our business.

We never take it for granted.

See you Tuesday.

🎉 PLANTFARM PAYDAYS WINNERS!

The winners just keep rolling in, and one thing we love about these daily winner stories is hearing why people keep coming back to PlantFarm.

🌿 Yvette was our lucky winner this week and told us she loves our customer service. Now that’s the sort of feedback that makes our team smile.

But Yvette didn’t stop there…

She turned up with a pack of Skittles for the team! 🍬

Now we’re not saying a bag of colourful sugar increases your chances of winning… but we’re also not saying it doesn’t. 😆 Thanks Yvette, you’re an absolute legend.

🌿 Over at Shepparton, Glenda was thrilled to be one of our winners.

Glenda first discovered us through social media and has become a loyal customer ever since. She told us she loves coming in because the plants always look fresh, healthy and well cared for. She was especially impressed with the succulents she picked up on her last visit.

Stories like these remind us why we do what we do. We work hard to grow and source quality plants, but it’s the people who walk through our gates that make PlantFarm what it is.

And remember… every purchase during June gives you the chance to win one of our daily $100 gift cards and puts you in the draw for the $5,000 Winter Payday Cash Prize. 💰

So if you’ve been thinking about visiting, this is your sign.

Shop local. Support local. Win local.

🍛 FREE CURRIES FOR LIFE? 🌿

🔥 BUY 1 GET 1 FREE 🔥

The older I get, the more I reckon winter is really just nature’s way of telling us to slow down.

The footy’s on.

The fire’s going.

The rain’s tapping on the roof.

I still want to play in the garden.

And somewhere in the kitchen there’s a pot of curry bubbling away filling the house with the sort of smell that has everyone wandering in asking…

“How long until dinner?”

Now here’s the thing…

The secret isn’t expensive ingredients.

It’s not a fancy recipe.

And it’s definitely not one of those supermarket curry kits with 47 ingredients you can’t pronounce.

It’s fresh curry leaves.

Which is why this weekend we’ve made our Curry Trees…

🔥 BUY 1 GET 1 FREE 🔥
While stocks last..

Because once you’ve got a Curry Tree growing at home, you’ll wonder why you didn’t plant one years ago.

And since we’re talking curry…

Here’s my favourite winter warmer.

🍛 Craig’s Sunday Curry

Start with 20 fresh curry leaves picked straight from the tree.

Heat a splash of oil in a heavy pot and toss those leaves in.

Within seconds they’ll crackle and release the most incredible aroma. It’s earthy, citrusy and rich all at once. The sort of smell that tells everyone in the house something good is happening.

Add:

🧅 2 large brown onions, finely sliced

🧄 4 cloves garlic, crushed

🫚 A good thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger

Cook slowly until the onions turn soft, golden and sweet.

Now add:

🌶 1 tsp chilli powder

🌿 1 tsp turmeric

🌿 1 tsp cumin

🌿 1 tbsp ground coriander

Let the spices toast gently. Don’t rush this bit. This is where the magic starts.

Next add:

🍗 500g diced chicken thighs

Brown lightly before adding:

🍅 2 diced tomatoes

🥥 1 can coconut milk

Bring everything to a gentle simmer and let it bubble away for 30 minutes while you put your feet up or pretend you’re helping around the house.

Just before serving, throw in another handful of fresh curry leaves.

This final hit of fresh leaves lifts the whole dish and gives it that authentic flavour that takeaway shops chase but rarely achieve.

Serve it over fluffy rice.

Tear up some warm naan bread.

Pour yourself a drink.

And enjoy one of winter’s greatest pleasures.

The best part?

Every time you make it, the secret ingredient is growing outside waiting for the next batch.

One for a mate.

ROSE LOVERS… YOU MIGHT WANT TO SIT DOWN FOR THIS 🌹

Every year people tell me the same thing…

“Craig, roses are getting expensive.”

Well not here they’re not.

We’ve just loaded both nurseries with one of the biggest selections of roses you’ll find anywhere and I’m telling you now…

You won’t find cheaper roses.

From classic Icebergs to bright colours, rich perfumes, old favourites and modern varieties, we’ve got hundreds ready to plant at exactly the right time of year.

🌹 Bush Roses from just $22.95
🌹 2ft Standard Roses from just $21.95
🌹 3ft Standard Roses $29.95
🌹 4ft Standard Roses $39.95

And here’s the bit most growers won’t tell you…

Many roses sold around the country are young first-year plants that still need years of shaping and development.

Our roses are strong, established plants that are ready to perform in your garden, not just survive in it.

Want a statement at the front gate?

Plant a pair of standards.

Want a cottage garden bursting with colour?

Fill it with bush roses.

Want neighbours slowing down as they walk past?

Plant both.

Winter is hands down the best time to plant roses. The roots establish beautifully, the plants settle in and come spring you’ll look like a gardening genius.

The crazy part?

At these prices some people are buying standards for less than what other nurseries charge for ordinary bush roses.

I GREW TOO MANY… 🌳

And you know what happens when I grow too many…

I SEND ’EM OUT.

Our stunning advanced Weeping Mulberry trees are now reduced to a ridiculous $99.95.

Yep… HALF PRICE.

These aren’t little nursery starters either.

These are beautiful, established feature trees standing around 5ft tall with big developed heads, grown right here for local conditions and ready to become the talking point of your garden.

Now here’s why they’re my favourite weeping tree…

Not because they’re expensive.

Not because they’re rare.

Because they do exactly what a feature tree should do.

They make people stop.

You can plant one in the middle of a lawn, beside a driveway, near an entertaining area or overlooking a dam and instantly create a focal point that looks like it’s been there for years.

In summer they form a gorgeous umbrella of shade.

In winter their bare weeping branches become a living sculpture.

They don’t grow into giants that swallow your backyard.

They don’t need a degree in horticulture to maintain.

And unlike many feature trees, they actually look spectacular in every season.

That’s the magic of a Weeping Mulberry.

One tree.

One spot.

One statement.

Normally these beauties were over $200, but because I may have been a little enthusiastic in production this season, they’re now just $99.95 while stocks last.

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect feature tree, this is it.

🎉💸 IT’S RAINING PAYDAYS AT PLANTFARM!

While everyone keeps talking about the cost of living, we’ve spent the last week doing our best to increase it… by giving money away. 😆

Every single day our Plantfarm Payday winners keep rolling in, and honestly, some of the stories have been just as good as the prizes.

🌿 Sheridan from Shepparton was all smiles earlier this week after finding out she’d won.

🌿 Shannon was a Shepparton winner and here’s the fun part… it was actually her very first visit after discovering us on Facebook! Talk about timing. One visit, one entry, one winner. She’s already planning what trees she’ll spend her prize on.

🌿 Over in Echuca, winner Mili told us she loves the great customer service. We reckon that’s a pretty nice compliment for our team who work hard every day to make Plantfarm feel a little different.

🌿 And then there was Sue, who told us she loves the plants, the deals, and the knowledgeable staff. We told her flattery won’t improve her odds… but apparently winning does. 😂

The funny thing is every winner says almost the same thing…

“I never win anything.”

Well apparently somebody has to… because we’ve been handing out winners every day throughout June!

🌱 The best part? There are still plenty of daily winners to come.

💰 And sitting there waiting for one lucky customer is our massive $5,000 Winter Payday prize.

Every time we call a winner, dozens of people miss out by just a few transaction numbers. Imagine finding out you were one purchase away from five grand. That’s the sort of gardening story that keeps people awake at night. 😅

So if you’ve been thinking about grabbing a few winter colour plants, planting some trees, fixing up the garden, or simply enjoying a wander around the nursery with a coffee in hand…

Now might be the time.

Because while you’re shopping for plants…

…you might just be shopping for a payday. 🌿💵

Who’s next? It could be you.

YOU BLOODY BEAUTY… YOU DID IT.

Today we can officially announce that our Ultimate Landscape Package has SOLD for an incredible $38,500 in our MND auction..

And when we add that to the $9,282 raised through my personal Big Freeze fundraising campaign, our community has helped contribute a whopping $47,782 towards the local MND Big Freeze fundraiser.

$47,782. To Big Freeze Echuca / Moama

Take a moment and let that sink in.

Because that didn’t come from me as one person.

It didn’t come from just our business.

It didn’t come from one idea.

It came from YOU.

From every customer who bought our fundraiser plants

Every person who grabbed a bag of our fundraiser kindling.

Every family who supported our fundraisers, read my stories on socials

Popped in to the nurseries and donated and wished me luck on the slide.

Every supplier who dug deep and donated products, services and materials.

Every person who donated, shared a post, bought a raffle ticket or simply turned up and got behind the cause.

Together, we built something pretty special.

When I first got the call asking if I’d slide into a pool full of ice water, I set myself a personal fundraising target of $1,000

To be honest, I thought that should be ok, but my brain went into overdrive.. we must do more and raise more..

Yet by the time Big Freeze day arrived, through my personal fundraising campaign and with the incredible support of customers, staff, suppliers, friends and the wider Plantfarm community, we’d already raised $9,282.

I was blown away.

Then this community did what it always does.

It showed up.

Again.

And again.

And again.

When I thought let’s create the ultimate landscape package I hoped we could go bigger..

The Ultimate Landscape Package sold yesterday for $38,500 thanks to an incredibly generous winning bidder who I had the pleasure of speaking with yesterday.

What struck me most wasn’t the bid.

It was the humility.

Her first words weren’t about winning.

They were about helping.

Even if she hadn’t won, she wanted to contribute.
She even said I decided if I was t the highest bidder I was still going to employ all these business that had donated…

That’s what this campaign has been about from day one.

People helping people.

A massive thank you to the local businesses that made the Ultimate Landscape Package possible:

Without these businesses there is no package.

Without our customers there is no auction.

Without our community there is no result.

And while my name might have been one of the 18 sliders this was never about me.

This was about a community coming together for something bigger than itself.

A community that bought our plants.

Bought our kindling.

Shared our social media posts.

Supported our fundraisers.

Backed our local businesses.

And dug deep to help families affected by MND.

Every dollar raised tells a story.

A story of generosity.

A story of kindness.

A story of people choosing to help people.

And that’s what makes me proud.

Not the slide.

Not the stitches.

Not the fundraising total.

The fact that when our community was asked to help, it answered.

In a big way.

Today we get to hand over this auction amount to our local Big Freeze fundraiser.

And while I’m not about to spoil the big announcement on the final amount raised by the Echuca Moama Big Freeze, I can tell you this…

We should all be so bloody proud to have played a small part in what Naomi, Lisa and the help from Rich River Golf club team have achieved.

What started as an idea has become something much bigger.

A community event.

A movement.

A reason for people to come together and make a difference.

The amount raised across our region is something the entire community should be proud of.

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Thank you for supporting the fundraiser.

Thank you for supporting local business.

Thank you for supporting families living with MND.

Thank you for supporting the suppliers who dug deep and said yes when I asked for help.

And thank you for proving once again what can happen when a regional community comes together behind something bigger than itself.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a finger pointing in a direction fingers probably shouldn’t point, a few stitches, and a reminder that agreeing to be blindfolded before launching head first down an ice slide may not have been my greatest life decision.

Worth it though.

Every single second.

💚 TWO STORES. TWO WINNERS. TWO VERY GOOD REASONS TO SHOP LOCAL.

The smiles just keep coming with our Winter Plantfarm Paydays!

At our Shepparton store, Vicki Murray was Mondays lucky winner of a $100 Plantfarm Gift Card. 🎉

Vicki shops with us every week and says she keeps coming back because she loves the nursery, the friendly team and the knowledgeable advice from our staff.

When we told her she’d won, she was absolutely thrilled!

Meanwhile over in Echuca, Grace Angel was our Sunday winner. 🌿

Grace loves supporting local businesses and says one of her favourite things to do is wander through the nursery with one of our coffees in hand, taking her time to explore what’s new and getting inspired for the garden.

And honestly… we reckon she’s onto something there.

A coffee, a stroll through thousands of plants, and the chance to win a $100 gift card. Not a bad way to spend a winter’s day.

Every day throughout June we’re giving away:

🎁 1 x $100 Gift Card at Echuca
🎁 1 x $100 Gift Card at Shepparton

And every eligible loyalty transaction also goes into the draw for our massive…

💰 $5,000 WINTER PLANTFARM PAYDAY 💰

No complicated forms.

No cardboard loyalty cards falling apart in your wallet.

Just shop, make sure you’re part of our Plantfarm Loyalty Rewards program, and you’re automatically in the running.

Because without loyal customers like Vicki, Grace and thousands of others, there is no Plantfarm.

Simple as that.

So thank you for supporting local.

Thank you for supporting our team.

And good luck… because tomorrow’s winners could be YOU. 🌿💚

💙 TODAY’S THE DAY… THE HAMMER DROPS AT 10AM. Make sure you have pre registered well before 10am…

It was a day I’ll never forget at
Big Freeze Echuca / Moama

Most people probably wouldn’t know this, but I’m actually pretty shy. Unless I’m talking trees and gardens of course you will never shut me up.

I don’t love being the centre of attention. I’d much rather be talking plants, loading a trailer, or wandering around a nursery than standing in front of a crowd. Maybe it’s the ADHD everyone tells me I have. Maybe I just enjoy the simple things.

But sometimes your community asks you to step up.

And when that happens, it’s time to park the fear and dig deep.

Or in my case… plunge deep.

Yesterday, 18 locals just like me dressed up, climbed a giant slide and launched ourselves into freezing water for a cause much bigger than ourselves.

Now somewhere between climbing the stairs and standing at the top of that giant slide looking out over the crowd, I had what can only be described as a terrible idea.

The kind of idea that seems brilliant for about three seconds.

I looked at Naomi and said,

“Hey Naomi… can you blindfold me?”

Then, because apparently I wasn’t finished making poor decisions, I added:

“Stand back… I’m going down head first.”

Now in hindsight, and after extensive medical review by absolutely nobody, I can confirm this was not one of my greatest life choices.

What followed was a splash big enough to register on the Murray River tide charts.

The crowd roared.

The kids loved it.

And for a brief moment I felt like an action hero.

Then I stood up.

It was about then I noticed one of my fingers was pointing in a direction fingers generally aren’t designed to point.

A few stitches later, a slightly wonky finger, a bruised ego and a very cold backside, and I’d do it all again tomorrow.

Because hearing those kids laugh, seeing our community come together and knowing every dollar raised is helping fight MND made every second worth it.

But the real heroes aren’t the sliders.

The real heroes are Naomi and Lisa.

For months these two legends have worked tirelessly behind the scenes planning, organising, fundraising, coordinating volunteers, sponsors, venues and about a thousand other things nobody sees.

With the incredible support of Rich River Golf Club, sponsors, volunteers and our community, they helped create an event that attracted more than 1,500 people and raised over $100,000 for FightMND.

Just stop and think about that for a second.

Over $100,000.

From a regional community.

That’s bloody amazing.

When I hit my original fundraising target of $5,000, I said, “Let’s double it.”

I got close.

Very close.

But I was still about $700 short of my personal $10,000 goal.

So I rang Naomi and said…

“What if we get some local landscapers and suppliers together and create a Backyard Blitz-style project for the Big Freeze?”

What I didn’t think about was how much extra work that meant for the girls.

A new auction platform.

More approvals.

More meetings.

More paperwork.

More checking what we could and couldn’t do.

But by then it was too late.

The businesses had committed.

The community was behind it.

And suddenly we had a package worth nearly $50,000 ready to bring to our region.

So we rolled up our sleeves and got to work.

Today, at 10am, one lucky bidder will win the Ultimate Landscape Package and together we’ll help push the Big Freeze fundraising total even higher.

None of this happens without these incredible local businesses digging deep:

🌿 Coolabah Turf

Together they’ve donated a package valued at $46,595.

Not vouchers.

Not discounts.

A genuine landscape transformation.

And today someone gets the keys to it.

If you’ve been thinking about bidding, now is the time.

The auction closes at 10am.
Current highest bid is at 6am Tuesday $28,500.00- important info is the wedding bidder must be located within 30kms of Echuca..

And if bidding isn’t for you, please take a moment to like, comment or share this post.

For the 18 sliders who got uncomfortable for a cause.

For Naomi and Lisa, who turned an idea into something extraordinary.

For every volunteer, sponsor and donor.

And for everyone living with MND.

Because communities like ours don’t wait for someone else to make a difference.

We show up.

We dig deep.

Sometimes we go down giant slides blindfolded and head first.

And together, we’ll play on… and beat the beast. 💙❄️💙
