Bit of progress from this week's retaining wall collaboration with Macarthur Handyman. Lots of digging, laser levels, concrete and sore backs, but we're getting there. Looking forward to sharing the finished job once it's all wrapped up.

Spent most of today turning a pile of fallen timber into usable firewood. Four hours on the chainsaw, a sore back, sore arms, and a newfound respect for red gum.
Not finished yet, but the pile is a lot smaller and the firewood stack is getting bigger. 🔥

One of those “while you’re here…” visits that turned into a bit of everything.

This job included • moving bedroom furniture • replacing 3 flyscreens • pruning • furniture assembly • bathroom accessory install

Not every job is flashy. Sometimes it’s just helping people get a pile of overdue jobs sorted in one visit.

Installed a recessed S-fold curtain track and sheer curtains over the existing timber blinds to soften the space without losing privacy or functionality.

Definitely one of those jobs that looks simple once it’s finished, but took a fair bit of measuring, levelling and planning to get the track sitting cleanly in the recess.

Also helped out with some wall decor installs in another room while I was there.

Pretty happy with how this one turned out.

Client had a crack at refinishing this timber top themselves but the sanding got away from them a bit.

Leveled it back out, reworked the surface properly and got it ready for finishing oil. Nice clean reset without replacing the whole unit.

If you’ve started a DIY project that’s gone a little sideways, I can usually help get it back on track.
