The right mulch, used in the right way, can do wonders for your garden.
A generous layer of mulch across a garden bed (5â10cm is generally recommended in Australia) is usually a great thing. It helps suppress weeds, regulate soil temperature, reduce evaporation, feed soil life and improve soil over time.
